There is a bit of oddness with setting the clothing preferences and frame this way that I’ve notices. It’s easy to make typos and the cheat console doesn’t seem to give an error if you do. If you’ve tried to change something and it doesn’t seem to work, try again. GenderOptions_Pregnancy_CanNot_BeImpregnated Here are the default traits you need to remove if you want to change to a different one: This is because all sims already have one of each of these traits, they are just all created with the defaults for their gender and cannot be changed until they are teen. There may be some other possible combinations as well if you want to experiment, but if you wanted to change how a female child uses the toilet, for example, you’d enter the following lines into the cheat console, first: You should theoretically be able to give them both of the CanNot pregnancy options without issue though, since that’s an option usually. In order to assign a new trait you must first remove the trait they already have - if you don’t things might not work right (like not being able to use the toilet).

GenderOptions_Pregnancy_CanBeImpregnated. These cheats only seem to work in Live mode with the sim you want to edit selected, so this means you have to wait until they’re at least toddlers and be able to select them, so it’ll be a little trickier to do with townie kids. I was super excited to discover this, so I figured I’d compile all the cheats and trait names you need to set your own sim kids’ preferences: The clothing options have an effect as young as toddler, and the toilet options with child and up. So I found a cheat for adding traits to sims, played around with them in-game, and they appear to work! Several of them have no effect on the younger ages, but they will keep them when they age up, which means a male child with a feminine frame will grow up into a male teen with a feminine frame, like the sim in the picture above who was assigned a feminine frame and clothing preference as a toddler and is just aging up (thus the sparkles and the colorful choice of randomly selected outfit). So I was poking around in the game XML files and I noticed that all of the Gender Options that were added in the gender patch last year are actually enabled for all ages, there’s just no way to assign these traits to sims younger than Teen.
